Werratal brings together guests, locals and companies. It is the first point of contact for everyone wether it is to plan a vacation, give the guest important information on the spot, or suggest and book activities for guests or to help promote or consult local businesses. The displayed corporate design consists of multiple visual components, which are the basis to the distinctive identity of the brand.
The first means of identification is the logo. A clear and simple geometric shape of two wavy lines. The association with the valley and its hills is intentionally. It represents the scenic landscape around the Werra river and its course. The reviving blue as well as the fresh, vivid green reflects the openminded, inspiring character that the brand is conveying to its target group.

Customers want to be flexible about how they spend their holiday without previous time-consuming planning and booking. Werratal lets them gift themselves time and lets them spend time on more important things during their vacation.

We positioned Werratal to match the obtained customer needs. By answering five multiple choice questions an individual vacation proposal is created within less than one minute. All planning, booking, managing and payment will be possible in one point, that is already in the hands of their customers – their phone.

With the help of NFC technology, the customer can rent a bike and start their bike tour on award winning scenic cycle tracks immediately. There’s no need for advanced booking.

Werratal is a region in the heart of Germany representing multiple towns and municipalities, across three different states, that all lie around the river Werra. The region offers award-winning infrastructure for outdoor activities and is steeped in history with its close-by former inner german border.

ueberweiss helped WTMG to re-launch the corporate strategy & communication of Werratal and translate it into a brand new corporate design bringing the tourism industry into the digital era.
